membership
Members at The Journey are people who "buy into" our mission. This "ownership of the mission" is expressed through presence at worship, participation in a small group, and service in the church and in Abilene. As a way of being obedient and practicing generosity, members will be expected to give financially too. Because The Journey is a new church, we do not yet receive official members. When we become official in the eyes of the United Methodist Church (this process is called "chartering" or "organizing"), then official membership will be open. This may happen n the year 2009 or so.
