our story
In June of 2006 Bailey and Randa Barkley and family moved to Abilene to pastor at Aldersgate United Methodist Church and to plant a new church. After one year, church leaders and Bailey decided that the time was ripe to move forward with the planting process. Going full-time to The Journey in June 2007, Bailey and a team of people have been working out the vision and details of the new church. Our first weekly service was on Jan 13, 2008.
