What to Expect

Below are some FAQ's that might be helpful to know when visiting our church:

What is your music like?

We provide a contemporary and comfortable atmosphere.  We usually sing with a full band who plays a mix of fresh songs and classic hymns.

What do I wear?

Dress is casual and varied.  Feel free to wear whatever you like (within reason - no Speedos!)  Generally, men wear anything from khakis to jeans to shorts.  Women generally wear anything from jeans to dresses.

Where are you located?

2565 S Danville (79605) in Abilene (former World Gym building).  It is on Highway 83/84 just a few hundred yards "down-stream" from Famous Dave's BBQ.

What door do I enter in?

For nursery or office, enter the upstairs door.  For children's ministry, classes, and worship, enter the downstairs door.  Note: To ensure the safety of our children, we lock our upstairs entrance at 10:35 until the service is over.  If you arrive after this time, use the downstairs entrance to access the nursery.

What time do you start?

Children's Sunday school begins at 9:30.  Currently, we serve children from ages 2 to 10.  Older children are welcome to go to class with adults.  Younger children are welcome to go to the nursery at this time.

Adults meet in classes from 9:30 to 10:15.  These classes are terminal and run from 4 to 12 weeks long.

Worship begins at 10:30.

How long is your service?

Generally the service lasts 70 minutes, which means it ends around 11:40.

What about nursery / childcare?

The nursery is just inside the upstairs entrance.  It is open from 9:15 until the worship service is over.  Generally, we keep children up to age 4 in the nursery but they are welcome to stay in the service if they prefer.

Note: To ensure the safety of our children, we lock our upstairs entrance at 10:35 until the service is over.  If you arrive after this time, use the downstairs entrance to access the nursery.

Anything else I need to know?

We serve Holy Communion (also known as the Lord's Supper or the Eucharist) every Sunday.  All persons who sincerely seek God are welcome to participate in this powerful experience.
